Non-alloyed grain oriented steels are high strength steels designed to withstand severe stress and wear without the addition of alloying elements in the steel making process. The properties of non-alloyed grain refining steels are improved by a grain refining process involving heating and rapid cooling of the steel, followed by reheating and slower cooling. This process helps to improve the toughness and strength of the steel.
Non-alloy flux-cored steels are commonly used in a variety of applications such as mechanical engineering, construction, power plants and offshore applications. The rods can be cut to the appropriate length for the application. Non-alloyed nodular steel rods are commonly used in the manufacture of axles, crankshafts, hydraulic and pneumatic components, springs and other components requiring high strength and durability.
