Hot-rolled automatic steels

Automatic steels are steels that are commonly used in machining and fabrication. They are usually unalloyed steels with some sulphur and phosphorus to help improve the steel's cutability and machinability. Automatic steels are produced by hot rolling.

As rods, automatic steels are commonly used in the manufacture of various machine parts such as valves, shaft components, gears, nuts, bolts and other parts that require steel with good machinability and machinability. Automatic steels are easy to machine, making them popular for use in machining and fabrication.
